I have not been to this restaurant for quite sometime…

…and yesterday, my friends and I, together with my daughter and one of my friends’ kids, ended up there for lunch – 5 adults and 2 children altogether.
We had the mixed meat platter…

…and the sweet and sour fish fillet…

…as well as the fried bitter gourd with beef…

…and the fried cangkok manis with egg…

…washing all that down with this thick Foochow-style tofu soup…

Inclusive of rice and drinks, it all came up to over RM70.00 – not too cheap, I would think…but it was not too expensive either and the food wasn’t too bad either.
After lunch, I went with my daughter to one place and I saw this…

What do you think it is? I will reveal the answer in my next post. LOL!!! Make a guess, anybody?

That looks like pokemon action figure to me. *shrugs*
I go take bfast first. tengok ur food here, lapar liao!
Pokemon? Which character looks like that? Hahahahahaha!!!! Go, enjoy your breakfast!
*blush* Wud character? Clefairy lorr… can be Jigglypuff too! They’re that colour ma….
That one, have to ask my daughter. She used to be a fan – had to spend so much on collectibles, books etc… I dunno know anything about the characters.
LOL…I was like your daughter… still liddat oso. Ahahahaha…now use the boy as an excuse to buy such things! LMAO…
Gee! Aren’t we all kids at heart? I love cartoons!
yummy yummy.. how i wish i can have such dishes now =P
Still in the UK, are you? Having something like that will definitely cost a bomb there!!!
Good morning STP… well, as long as the food tasted good, the bill could be justified..
as for the guessing game, it looked familiar.. is it a stool in a shape of a tooth?
Nope, not a stool…and as for a tooth, you’ll have to hang around and wait for the answer in the next post! Hahahahahaha!!!! Ya…I guess the price was ok for an ok meal for 5+2 people.
Its a chair/stool with boobies. lol
Wouldn’t you love to sit on one like that? Hahahahahahaha!!!!
I think that pink thingy that looks like butt of lady bending over is tooth-shaped stool
How was the meat platter? Nice?
Ok…I would very much prefer those at Mei Le Cafe – the one near your house where people have to queue a mile long on Chinese New Year’s Eve to buy. That one’s much nicer! Ya, I thought it looks like somebody’s butt…but no, it isn’t a stool. Tooth? Ummmmm……
What is that? A chair? :p The foods look normal and the restaurant’s name is surely fancy-Y2K!
A chair with all those protrusions? Wouldn’t that be so uncomfortable? Ya…it was one of those not-so-fancy much-cheaper but better-than-coffee-shops air-conditioned restaurants.
tooth-shaped chair? big pink pau?
1st one’s pretty close…but no, it is not a big pink pau! LOL!!!
More like a tooth-shaped chair to me..
Pretty close! Pretty close! Good try! But imagine your butt being bitten when you sit on one! Eyew…. Hahahahaha!!!!
Ya, am also thinking along the same line that it is either someone’s bum or egg carton…..
Ya, I thought it looks like somebody’s bum too…but egg carton? Hey! That’s a good one – those packs of 6!!! We don’t have those here, not in Sibu.
I can’t believe that i’m the onl;y one that says it looks like pokemon. *wah, piangz!*
Looks like you’re the only one who’s watched too many cartoons! Hahahahahaha!
LOL… must be gone case lerr… ahahaha… I really do watch a lot of cartoons. LOL…they’re nice, actually. Beats watching those dramas. Makes me cry so easily. Watch cartoon nonid afraid will cry!
You watch Beauty and the Beast or Mu Lan, didn’t cry kah? Maybe the characters – father and daughter – so you were not emotionally affected. LOL!!! But everybody cried when Bambi’s mother died…and also the Tigger Movie’s VERY touching!
I was actually annoyed with Beauty and the Beast… cuz I actually think the Beast is cuter than the Prince. And the prince is what? So lame and normal! Mu Lan is ok..they made me laugh. But damn, Bambi really made me cry. Dumbo too! =.= No hope oredi hor?
Beast reminds me of myself…and my daughter agrees! “You must learn to control your temper!” But inside he has a heart of gold – like me too! Hehehehehehe!!!!
Yummy dishes there! The fuchow tofu soup looks nice, wondering I can try it here… yeah I guess it’s a tooth pinky chair + Happy New Year 2010 to u & ur family
The same to you and yours. Certainly hope it will be a much better year. Well, your guess is pretty close…
That reminds me of the big thing – the havoc of Y2K! Yes, we are spared the havoc of Y2K, but the decade has brought a horrific take on an old menace:terrorism! What a decade!
Just as the new year lies before me, unknown – I have no clue of what’s the last picture is about! He..he…
Ya…it hasn’t been a very good year, has it? And also the downturn, petrol price hike and all the other hikes, H1N1…and all the deaths! Hope 2010 will be better…
Sweet and sour fish look so yummy and i miss the fried cangkok manis with egg and thick Foochow-style tofu soup….yummmm…
i would guess that is a pink tooth-shaped stool.
You’re on the right track, pretty close! LOL!!! Well, are you coming back for Chinese New Year? You can feast on all that then!
is it a stool? haha..
Definitely not! Wouldn’t it be very uncomfortable with your bum sitting on all those bumps?
Its a tooth chair^^
Hmmm….you’re on the right track! LOL!!!
STP! Hi there
. Can you email me your address?
My email address? I thought you would have it everytime I commented in your blog? Or do you mean my postal address? Whassup?
That looks like a plastic bum!
haha~~
I like the way you think! I had the same impression when I first saw it!
xpensive lar…by that money u pay i can get more dishes here in kch…
thats a pink butt…lol…i think its a kiddy horse or smth got to do with kids…
*kns…flight delayed 1 hr*
Well, 1 hour isn’t too bad! Could be worse! At Changi, are you? Can go online – free! Nope…it’s not a butt…or a horse…or something to do with kids. LOL!!! Ya…I guess there are some cheaper places here too…but usually no air-con lah! I’ll be sweating plus-plus!!! Can’t enjoy the meal…
Looks like a toy for children similar to a rocking horse. saw something like it at Daesim
LOL!!! Nope…I don’t think it’s a toy…
Haha since it’s not a tooth-shaped chair, I’m guessing it’s a tooth-shaped table? LOL
Hahahahaha!!! Who says the camera never lies??? It’s not as big as it seems!
My fave at y2k is the sweet n sour fish fillet wohoo. That thing.. Bicycle saddle ? Lol
You’ve been to Y2K too? Thought it’s one of those unassuming, not-too-impressive places that very few people know of/go to. Ya…the sweet and sour fish is my daughter’s favourite too – one of the best, if not the best in town! Nope…not a bicycle saddle… LOL!!!
P.S. …And somehow the Foochow fried noodles (with gravy) isn’t so nice if you eat it there. If you tapao home and eat it, it is really very nice – also one of the best around!
no lar, i always go there last time. fish is my fave.
foochow fried noodles? havent tried before. always eat fried kway teow dry lol.
Well, the sweet and sour fish is still very nice. I think I’ve tried the fried kway teow once – not too impressed. Can’t compare with the Penang ones…
Their kung pow veal is awesome. My parent’s favorite place to eat.
They serve century eggs too!
You love century eggs too? Yum! Yum! But shouldn’t take these preserved stuff too often! Ya…I met your parents there a couple of times before. Never tried the kung pao veal… Must remember to order the next time I drop by.
A pink tooth!
You’re right…but is that pink? See the next post for the photo of the whole thing!
I want to eat s&s fish fillet too! or pork =P
Come, come to Sibu. Lots around, and all very nice too! LOL!!!
